From a very young age or shall I say since I learned to read, I fell in love with books. My mother who also loved to read, introduced me to all the classics and we used to have long conversations about books, authors and the stories they shared. When my father was travelling for work, I used to sleep next to my mother and the rule was that we both read our books in bed before sleeping - those precious moments shaped my habit to always have a book by my bedside to read before turning the lights out to sleep.

The list below contains the 'yoga books' that I recommend reading if you want to find out more about yoga and embark on a yoga reading retreat.  'Bringing Yoga to Life' was the first yoga book I read after attending yoga classes for a while. It has a special place in my heart because it reassured me that effectively, when you start practising yoga, its benefits permeate into your whole life: freedom of movement brings freedom of thought, as we start to open the mind we open our hearts to a more peaceful, joyful life.
